Culinary Clash!
We’ve been having an exciting run recently here in Modesto. We just had the opportunity with staff and students to make a local event one of the events to be at. The run down was “culinary clash,” the Iron Chef of Modesto. I was asked to be one of the judges, we had a class set up competitors’ kitchens, and student volunteers bus tables and help clean up through out the event and once it was over. In addition, we had our mod 10 class put out mini desserts for our booth; they were such a hit that we had exhausted our supplies at 8 pm an hour before the event ended.
The next part of our exciting run is we are now going international; we have a student going to Disney Japan in 5 weeks for his extern. We also have landed a student at the Grand Canyon South Rim Park for an externship as well! Also, a little place in Half Moon Bay for employment, it was in the news awhile back…yanno, the Ritz-Carlton. As we keep growing as a school, our student’s success and dreams reach farther and wider than we could imagine for them. Its spring time, so we have planted some seeds to success!
