Would you prefer a shorter program? Lengthy programs aren’t a requirement for a career in the kitchen. In just eight months, Institute of Techology’s Culinary Arts Specialist program can teach you how to create works of art such as ice carvings, vegetable carvings and cream cheese sculptures.
Hone and develop your kitchen skills as you prepare for a variety of culinary careers. Coursework in Garde Manger (cold food preparation) and French and Classic cuisine prepares you for the diverse careers available in the culinary industry. A five-week externship provides you with workplace experience.
Upon completion of the program, students will have met the American Culinary Certification Standards for Safety and Sanitation, Supervisory Management, and Nutritional training.
We want the program to be affordable, which is why uniforms and a cutlery set are included in the cost of the program. Textbooks are provided to the student either as classroom or student-issue learning resources.
